The North is dominating the first event of the German Sailing League 2016. In total the 36 clubs are presenting 78 exciting races of top-class sailing sport. The old master NRV (Norddeutscher Regatta Verein) from Hamburg wins the kick-off event in Starnberg in the first league. In the second Sailing League, the MSC (Muehlenberger Segel-Club) takes over the top rank.
It was indeed a walkover for the two-time German Master, the NRV (Norddeutscher Regatta Verein), taking over rank one of the 1. Sailing League. The sailors from Hamburg are dominating the kick-off event at Starnberg, leaving the competitors clearly behind.
„It is unbelievable to have won the first event with my team. We are more than content with this victory. The conditions today have been a bit more difficult at the beginning, but with the continuous performance of the last days we could keep the lead. We are very happy”, the happy helmsman Tobias Schadewaldt is satisfied. With his crew Florian Spalteholtz, Niklas von Meyerinck and Florian Weser, the sailors from the North did rock the Lake Starnberg.
Also the reigning German Champion from the German Touring Yacht Club did show a strong performance for the first event. The guys from Tutzing finish on rank two and demonstrate, that they again are hot candidates for the champion’s title this season. The promoted team from the Lindau Sailing Club is on rank three.
The other two local clubs from the South take ranks in the subtop: Munich Yacht Club rank seven, Bavarian Yacht Club rank 14.
The North also dominates the top of the ranking in the 2. Sailing League. The Muehlenberg Sailing Club shows a brilliant kick-off: The sailors from Hamburg are stronger than ever and finish on rank one in Starnberg. Second-placed is the Hamburg Sailing Club, followed by the Potsdam Yacht Club on rank three.
In not even four weeks (27. until 29. May 2016) the next event of the 1. and 2. National Sailing League (Segel-Bundesliga) is scheduled in Constance.
