There are still a few months to go before the first event of the SAILING Champions League 2018 in Porto Cervo (31 May – 3 June), but the preparations are already in progress. As in 2017 the first four clubs from every nation qualify for Act 1 and Act 2, where they will fight for their places in the Final. But which clubs qualified?
These clubs of all 16 National Sailing Leagues are qualified:
Austria: 1. Burgenländischer Yacht Club, 2. SCTWV Achensee, 3.Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee, 4. Yacht Club Bregenz
Czech Republik: 1. ICZ RODOP, 2. TJ LS Brno, 3. JK Truc Plzeň, 4. YC Neratovice
Poland: 1. Jacht Klub Kamień Pomorski, 2. Yacht Club Sopot, 3. MOS IIawa, 4. Olsztynski Klub Zeglarski
Russia: 1. Lord of the Sail – Asia, 2. Navigator Sailing Team, 3. Lord of the Sail – Europe, 4. PIRogovo
Slovenia: tbd
Sweden: 1. Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet, 2. Cape Crow Yacht Club, 3. Hjuviks BK, 4. Malmö Segelsällskapet
Switzerland: 1. Regattaclub Bodensee, 2. Regattaclub Oberhofen, 3. Société Nautique de Genève, 4. Seglervereinigung Kreuzlingen
United Kingdom: 1. Itchenor Sailing Club, 2. Royal Ocean Racing Club, 3. Wessex Sailing Club, 4. Port Edgar Yacht Club
In the qualifier events for Act 1 (Porto Cervo) and Act 2 (St. Petersburg), the best four ranked clubs from all 16 National Sailing Leagues compete against each other to win a ticket for the grand final in St. Moritz. The draw to assign clubs to the two qualifier events will be 12pm on 27 November – and it will be live on Facebook.
