Russia and Switzerland started their season successfully

There finally is again more action at Europe’s sailing hotspots. The first nation starting into the new season of national sailing leagues was Switzerland. And the Russians also successfully managed their first league event. There will be one event after the other until autumn, there will be no month with no league activities for the nations. All nations already fixed the schedule for the events: Please find the overview here.

Switzerland – Swiss Sailing League (01st – 03rd April in Locarno)
The first event of the Swiss Sailing League 2016 was dominated by great atmosphere, light winds and very tight racing.  Organisers and sailors did celebrate a successful start at Lago Maggiore.  At the end, the Regatta Club Bodensee wins. The next event will take place on 06. May. Here you can find the results from Locarno.

Russia (08th – 10th April in Sotchi)
The first event of the Russian Sailing League at the former Olympic city Sotschi did offer many surprises. The weather was doing whatever – as usual – so there was everything, from lots of wind to no wind, from rain to sun. But all events have something in common: Happy winners, champagne and fun. Here you can find all results.
