20 out of 21 representatives of Danish Sailing League clubs decided at an extraordinary annual meeting in Juelsminde last weekend to constitute the “Danish Sailing League Association” as a new independent entity, separate from the Danish Sailing Association. When the 2017 season starts next spring, the Danish Sailing League Association will be fully responsible for its operations. “Today we have taken a big step. I would like to thank the clubs for their unequivocal support for the proposal to continue the league as an independent structure. It is a significant challenge but it opens up new opportunities” said Thorkild Pedersen, President of the Danish Sailing League Association.
